OUR STORY
We met in 2017 while we were both working at Snap, Inc. on the Spectacles team. Peter first noticed Christi by the bright custom pink chair, shoes, and matching personality; while Christi noticed her boss pre-approved all of Peter’s eloquent ideas and requests, forever. We started as colleagues and bing bang boom 6 years later here we are! We’ve built our very own desert yurt, bought our first property together, and became first time dog parents to our Goldendoodle Honey Bear Brook while continuing to survive a global pandemic! We are so excited to enter into this new chapter together, and with everyone who has been a part of our journey from the very start. as husband and wife!

THE DESTINATION
Like the song says, Chicago is my kind of town! I was born in Chicago and lived my first five years in the suburb of Wheaton. My grandparents, Ron and Marie, owned the same house for 48 years and we visited often throughout my life. When Peter and I met, I was excited to show him how much Chicago means to me and my family. Peter fell in love with the city, its friendly midwesterners, delicious food, and incredible culture just as I did. Chicago is home to the invention of the Ferris Wheel, the Twinkie, and the world’s only river that flows backward. Chicago is also home to an incredible 56 museums, our favorite is the Museum of Science & Industry. We hope you like Chicago as much as we do!

GETTING THERE
PLANE
Chicago has two major airports served by most major airlines. Chicago O’hare Airport as well as Midway Airport both have direct flights to/from Chicago and all major US cities. We recommend hiring a car from the airport to the hotel, the drive is about 30 minutes. Uber offers the best value, rather than taxis.
TRAIN
The trains in Chicago are known as the “L”. The Blue Line trains are the easiest and most affordable way to get to/from O’hare via public transit. The Orange Line trains offer the easiest and most affordable way to get to Midway. The Blue Line offers 24 hour service with more frequent service during weekday morning and evening rush hours. You can also connect to most other CTA lines through the Blue Line.
CAR & TAXIS IN MIDWAY
Rideshare from Midway:
The meeting point for transportation network companies is on the lower level, right outside of Baggage Claim Door 4. The Ground Transport signs throughout the terminal will guide you to the pick-up location, and you’ll see a red Rideshare Pick-Up sign when you exit the terminal.

Taxi’s from Midway:
Taxi stands are located on the lower level curbfront of the terminals, and taxis are available on a first come, first serve basis. To ensure you have a licensed taxi driver, please be sure to use the taxi stands.
CAR & TAXIS IN O'HARE
Rideshare from O’hare:
You’ll get directions about ORD pickup points directly in the app. Pickup locations may vary by terminal and product. For most requests, you’ll meet your rideshare driver upstairs on the Departures level. For requesting Uber Black or SUV at ORD, and those in the International terminal, please meet your driver downstairs on the Arrivals level.

There are Taxi Stands at the lower level curb front (outside of Baggage Claim) at each terminal.
